    Annual Summer Workshop-Houston

Our own Ross Hella of Deerwood Orchids will be giving us great information on teacup Paph breeding. Many of you probably know Thanh from Springwater Orchids. He will elaborate on cutting edge breeding coming from overseas. Especially some of newest species and their influences in breeding...

    80 days of growth

Apparently, it's all about roots. I've posted my net pot in a solid pot before. This combination creates a saturated air layer between the two pots stimulating the roots to grow through the net into the air layer. I've also added a dash of urea to fertilizing and have noticed my multies picking...

What is the deal with paphiopedilum randsii?

For me randsii falls in a group of Philippino paphs with adductum and anitum. There is a reason these species are rare in collections. I find it very difficult to stimulate new root production in all three. Unlike philippinense, lowii and haynaldianum, which are wide spread, these three are...

    Orchids 2024

That is freak'in incredible Justin! Great specimen plant for such a historic clone. You could probably add more letters to end of the name, such as, CCE or CCM!

Paphiopedilum rothschildianum with true pedigree, second flowering

Interesting David. Norito used Jamboree in some form or fashion as a clonal name allot. Those two probably worked a deal out.

Paphiopedilum rothschildianum with true pedigree, second flowering

Xavier, did you ever give Mt Millais pollen to Yang-Ji in 2016 or maybe earlier? I have a roth in bud with the cross code YJ1553 with a 2016 date on it. I think the cross is 'Tiger' x ' Mt Millais' I got it through HiLo Orchid Farm.
