    Paphiopedilum myanmaricum

It's really big when you see it "in person". I probably should have named it Bubba :)

    Paphiopedilum myanmaricum

Thank you so much. It's been a rough summer but the orchids have been a good distraction.

    Pahiopedilum Frank Hughes 'Tanya' AM/AOS

That's beautiful and very well grown from what I can see of the plant. How long have you had it? I see Koopman Orchids is offering divisions of this plant and I've been considering adding it to my collection.

    Paphiopedilum myanmaricum

I haven't posted anything in a while due to my cat's terminal illness (brain tumour) and recent death, and now I'm home with covid so I thought I'd get caught up on what's happening in my plant room. My Paph myanmaricum is back in bloom and the flower is much larger than it was last year when it...

An AM for my Paph. liemianum!

Thank you and btw I didn't know primulinum is fragrant, so I learned something new today. My liemianum has been with me for five years and grows in the house at one end of the light stand. It's in the front of the stand now (having been at the back closer to the wall) so in addition to the...

An AM for my Paph. liemianum!

An AM for my Paph. liemianum!

My orchid society had an AOS judging outreach session at our meeting this week and I was very pleased to see my Paph. liemianum receive an AM with 85 points. Out of seven nominated plants this was the only award given that evening. I almost didn't make it on time thanks to traffic chaos on the...

Paph. haynaldianum goes to the show!

I sent my Paph. haynaldianum to its first show on Vancouver Island last weekend and it won best Paphiopedilum, best grown under lights, and was the Reserve Champion. Unfortunately I stayed home and missed all the action! Oh well, I was a proud mama from a distance.
