They re=opened the bridge 7 days later, they just cleaned up the old blacktop & put down new.

The most expensive plant I bought was a $150.00 Roth. I killed it in less than a year!! :( My budget is in the toilet due to my health & not able to work (since mid Feb).. What I would love to get is the mottled leaf Cyps!!!!!!

They are eating a mixture of protein powder, meat baby food & purified water. Now they are also eating some solid foods scrambled eggs, turkey burger & fresh fruits..

Ive heard of some people in my area getting alot cleaned up in their house from Irene only to have it get flooded again.. Heidi (my girlfriend) works as a home health aide also. She lost her car in flooding from Irene.

I hope everyone is O.K. with all this new rain on top of what we got from Irene. So far we are ok here but there is alot of flooding around us, the creeks are very high again..

I saw that too. It is cool to think they get that big.. I've seen small ones in zoos, but nothing in size compared to that..

All orchid flowers are edible. But you do have to be careful where they are bought. My local grocery store carries the dendros for eating!!! I don't go out of my way for them, the ones that I flower here after dried I give to the hermit crabs & they love them..

Me, my dad, & girlfriend ( Heidi) survived.. Heidi lost her car to the flood waters in Rhinebeck. The car insurance won't cover it as we did not have collision on it.. Screw you any way they can!!!

On the local news they were saying for my area around 10 inches, it was a purple shade on their map on NBC. I don't have to woory about flood waters, just basement flooding. But alot of other areas will flood around me. I also worry about the winds as we are in the country nothing but trees..

I'm upstate & we are getting alot of rain allready, 1thunder & lightening storm!!!!!!! They say 10-15 inches possible. They might close bridges across Hudson river if winds get over 50mph. This was the srongest I felt in NY. The whole house was shaking. It is a strange feeling. Now we are getting ready for Irene!! We will get the wind & rain.. I hope everyone on east coast stays safe (especially in the flood zones)..

I beleive it is a garden spider. They are not poisonous to us!!! When I took the picture I was about 4 inches away from it. I have also seen one with an orange/red color on the body but that was a few years ago.

I found this yesterday nesting in my dwarf iris.

I'm not sure about the legality over there..
