This is the first bloom on this plant (Paph Deperle x Paph insigne). I like the yellow dorsal with pink petals and pouch.

9 stakes in a 4" pot would have reeked havoc on the root system...

I took one of my helenae to the Carolinas Judging Center this last Saturday. The plant was awarded a 83 point AM and a 86 point CCM. It has 9 open flowers and has been in bloom since the end of September. I think 9 flowers is the highest flower count for a helenae award in the AOS. I'll post...

The flower is upside-down... the sepal on top in your photo is the ventral sepal. It's smaller than the sepal on the bottom of your photo which is the dorsal sepal. The flower is upside-down.
