Perhaps showing my ignorance here, but isn't that worthy of being judged? Really beautifully flowered, and at least to my eyes, "perfect".

Wow, that truly is a black swan!

    Ho Chi Minh

That would be the logical assumption, but I actually keep it inside when flowering to keep water off it! That said, it is in the kitchen which has no air conditioner, so conditions are pretty hot and humid this time of year. Today's day 16, and they still look pretty good. It is usually at...

Here it is day 14. I don't think I've ever had a flower last longer than 16 days. We'll see. The petals always get dog-earred by the 3rd day after opening.

Mexipedium xerophyticum 'Trouble with Tribbles' CCM/AOS

You went and fed them! Of course in this case it's no tribble at all.

Mexipedium xerophyticum ‘Windy Hill’ x ‘Oaxaca’

They look happy. I wonder if this species naturally have relatively few roots. The one I grew for over 10 years never developed many roots.

Catyclia El Hatillo (Encyclia tampensis x C. mossiae)

The tampensis really shines through on this cross. A truly multifloral minicatt!

    C. Tenebrosa semi alba

I almost like that form better than the typical one. Lovely!

    P. Ranfan Quartet?

I bought this plant way back in 2005 as Magic Lantern, which it obviously is not. It flowered a couple years later and I asked this very forum what it might be, and Ranfan Quartet was suggested as a possibility. It continues to grow well, and flowers ever other year or so, but it hasn't formed...

    Ho Chi Minh

I like this plant because it is utterly easy to grow, and clumps well. I've never managed to get more than 2 flowers on it at a time however. A few years back it initiated 5 buds, but I was busy and didn't pamper them so all but 2 blasted. This year I was more careful. I seem to get right...
