    sugiyamanum

Beautiful, great to see a clone without that nasty reflexing of the lateral segments. Attractive fine peppering and great colour. Tops!

    Paph Snowbird

Very nice. It. What is the breeding of this hybrid? It has an old style 'Rosy Dawn' look to it.

Great variation there Rick. Quality blooms and growing, well done!

    St Swithin in full bloom

A beautiful SS, well spaced and presented blooms, held clear of the foliage. Strong color, attractive petal stance and good shape. An altogether attractive and superior package.

    henryanum christae for Bjorn

Picturing the species in my mind, I am not sure how this is an improvement?

    And?

    sugiyamanum

A nice representative clone of the species. They seem to be most closely related to virens. On occasion they are offered for sale as virens var. sugiyamianum. As with virens, they seem to do best using basket culture.

    Paph. tranlienianum

Lots of colour there, it will be interesting to see if the colour-break persists in future bloomings.

    Paphiopedilum tranlienianum in situ (blooming)

Fantastic picture! Your posts are always a treat, thank you.

    Paph. bellatulum

Good looking healthy plant. You obviously have the culture just right. I wish I could grow these!
  13. T

    triple bella

Very nice, good high arch to the top edge of the lateral segments. Good luck.

Not so wonky at all! That is pretty damn superb

    Repotting time

Yuuuuuuup! Plants with big root systems need more beer, .... Or a bigger pair of snips! I have been dreading my repotting, I am not sure if my liver can take the abuse.

    Hybrid identification

Very 'pot-plant trade' breeding. Neat growth habit, attractive foliage, tall spike and sequential blooming. The lineage possibilities would be endless. I suspect that plants like Delophylum and Pinnochio might well feature in its makeup.

    Julius

A fairy favorite! I really like the way the pouch is framed by the ventral segment. Great form and colour.

    St. Swithin

Thank you for all your positive comments. I was hoping for a few more spikes as it is a large plant. Perhaps next season? Repotting this beast should take a few more beers than last time:)

    Berenice

When I repotted this plant last year it fell apart into 3 pieces. All 3 are in bloom at the moment, unfortunately not in the same pot though  It would have been good to have had 4 spikes on a single plant.
