    New Paphs…mostly for comparison

They all look quite perky and happy in their new home. I recently bought two flasks from PP and they were very healthy as well. I will look forward to seeing fanaticum bloom. I would love to add one to my "collection," which is a bit of an over statement for my little assortment.

    Light level for flasks

Wow!, okay, that is way higher humidity then mine have gotten. Thank you! I have my prop mats set so the root zone is about 70 F. Does that sound right?

It is a beautiful color and a very healthy happy looking plant.

    Cypripedium montanum in situ

What a treat! It's funny how it is the only clump on the slope with nothing near it. All the other plants look like they are bowing down and paying homage.

    Paphiopedilum fairrieanum family

That is really pretty. I love curly petal margins.

    Returning to orchid growing

Welcome from just a bit south of Seattle. Your orchidariums are spectacular. Do you keep like with like in them? I am a new-to orchid-grower as of this year, almost all paphs.

    Paph Bryce Larkin

I love the color combination and the wavy petal margins. Beautiful.

    Mold on medium

Yay for the bonsai and and 🤞for the exhausted one. I need more space to create a healthier quarantine area😅.

    Mold on medium

Thank you for the suggestions. Did the bonsai tree make it? I ended up throwing this plant out. When I went to repot it the few remaining roots were rotten, as was the base of the plant. I wasn't particularly attached to it and decided that trying to rescue it wasn't worth the risk to my other...

    Light levels by foot candles

    Oh so true!

    Light level for flasks

They definitely look happy enough in their own little pots. Hummm, another side by side comparison to run. 🤔Thank you for the help. Mine are going into compots today😬

    Light level for flasks

Thank you. The foot candles is super helpful. I am using the lights I normally use for garden seedlings and they are overkill. I didn't know how much to dim them. I will aim for less than 500 fc at the leaf level. No compots?

My blooming paphs (taken on 2024.10.17)

Those are some of the longest tresses I've seen on the sandie hybrid. Beautiful. It should be named Rapunzel. 😊

    Mold on medium

Wow, that is quite a picture. Glad to hear that you saved all but one. Interestingly, like I mentioned, this plant had quite a mass of rotted root underneath it. I removed it but maybe not sufficiently. Poor thing, it has had its feet cut out from underneath it and now it is in the isolation...
