    Bulbophyllum Tingabarinum

It doesn’t come through in the pics, but the flowers are a sparkly metallic too. Super cool

    Bulbophyllum Tingabarinum

Very! It comes from Vietnam. It blooms and grows fastest for me in the summer, where the temps of my growing area stay between 78-82

    Paphiopedilum violescens

    Gorgeous! Congrats!

    Bulbophyllum Tingabarinum

Love this little guy. This year, it graced me with 3 spikes! 2 blooming and another forming still. Love the vivid orange color and the amazing scent of cilantro! Yum! Haha

    Paphiopedilum hookerae

I agree... looks like a hybrid of the 2 species

    Paph fowleii alba

Ya I might just try that! Thanks my friend!

    Paph fowleii alba

I never have any issue with the media breaking down or root rot, it just seems to need more humidity than I can provide.

    Paph fowleii alba

I’m not sure what the issue is, but since then, it grew multiple fans, and flowered more, then started on a slow decline... I can’t keep it wet enough for what it wants. I’m not sure why either. I have no problem growing other Philippino species.

    Paph. venustum

Very odd time of year for venustum.

    Paphiopedilum acmodontum

100% agree with Leslie and Musa. Clear pots are the way to go! Nice bloom.

    superbiens

Very nice bloom! I like it’s form better than mine. Mine is fairly vigorous, as long as I keep it very moist, yet airy.

Not yet. I’ve had it for about a year now from a seedling. It has 11 leaves now and the last is only an inch long, with something else forming down in the apex. Hopeful of a spike!

My Sangii is right in the window sill edge, in hot bright direct sunshine for a couple hrs every afternoon and doing great as well.

Hmmm... interesting. Mine is in a 2 1/2” Rand’s pot, and about equal parts Sphagnum, small orchiata, and #3 perlite. All of my orchids are grown in a west window of my home. I have a ceiling fan and floor fan, humidity ranges from 45-55 usually. An interesting note, I grew mine in low light like...

That’s very unfortunate. I’m sorry to hear that. How so?? I keep mine damn near wet all year! It’s the only way it will bloom. What’s your growing conditions and media?

    Undescribed wild venustum???

That is so damn cool!!! I’d love to read that!! I’ve always dreamed of someone writing a book on just venustum’s. How extremely diverse the species is and their habitat ranges, ecology, variants, etc, with in situ research and pictures all in detail. For as amazing as they are, and how diverse...

    Undescribed wild venustum???

Absolutely! And yes please! Let me be the first in line for a division my friend! Like I said, venustum’s are my passion and my main focus of the collection. I gotta have that one!!! Lol I’d be happy to trade paphs of mine for a division. Sort of reminds me of a “wilder” variation of this...
