My paph fowleii alba in bloom last summer.

It's a cutie. I just lost 3 - 4 seedlings of this species. Apparently, they're quite tasty to canines. I'm hoping the remaining seedlings make it, I really like this diminutive species.

I love them too! It suffered for me until I started giving it more water than my venustum's!! It craves being almost constantly wet all year!!

Interesting observation. I'll keep that in mind with my remaining semi-chewed seedlings.

lol sure thing! I grow mine in a mix of 50% classic orchiata, 30% sphagnum, and 20% small perlite.

Lovely flower. The flowers of P. fowleii seem always as if the were a number too big for the plant.

I’m not sure what the issue is, but since then, it grew multiple fans, and flowered more, then started on a slow decline... I can’t keep it wet enough for what it wants. I’m not sure why either. I have no problem growing other Philippino species.

Try semi water culture (swc), lower level filled with leca clay, sitting in water tray? Topped with moss. This delivers constant moisture without rotting the orchiata/perlite/charcoal mix above.

I never have any issue with the media breaking down or root rot, it just seems to need more humidity than I can provide.

Maybe a small tent? That increases humidity very well, open at top.

I put mine in the middle of the collection. Seems happy there
