    Normans Orchids / Orchids.com Order

Wow, that really sucks! I guess I'm lucky the plants I ordered were relatively cheap.

    Normans Orchids / Orchids.com Order

Yep, I had a similar experience with them not too long ago. Purchased a Phrag. caudatum and Paph. wilhelminae and they were in disappointing condition to say the least. Both had obvious insect damage and the phrags spike was snapped off due to it being poorly packaged. I got screwed out of a...

    Paph. primulinum

The first flower looks like it was kinda messed up do to stress and, looking at the pouch, opened prematurely.

    Summer Potential

Sounds like my growing conditions and watering routine are pretty similar to yours. Watering every other day gets kinda annoying after a while but my plants (especially phrags) have really responded well to it. Be sure to post pics of your parishii when it opens!

    Summer Potential

Nice! if you don't mind me asking, what parishii cross did you get from Sam? I have the 'Red Long Twister' x 'Jeanie' AM/AOS cross which has been putting out a ton of new roots and a second growth. I'm pretty surprised how vigorous it's been, though I have a feeling I'm not going to be seeing...

    Miniature Flow Bench

I've been thinking of doing something like this for my phrags, as I've been having trouble keeping them moist. I did a setup for my tropical carnivorous plants very similar to this and it worked great! What type of media are you using?

Phrag. Memoria Garren Weaver... or not??

Well after some searching on google I'm pretty sure I have a match, Phrag. Demetria (caudatum x sargentianum) which looks almost identical to my plant.

Phrag. Memoria Garren Weaver... or not??

Okay, I purchased this from eBay a while back and it decided to put out a spike for me, which is nice but I'm beginning to doubt the tag is correct. I'd think pearcei x wallisii (or whatever wallisii is currently called) would be very light in color with green, white and pink flowers which was...

    Thoughts on my slippers

+1 to the above. Though, IME, Sorcerer's Apprentice is pretty tough as far as phrags go and should recover if given proper conditions. SA was my very first phrag and suffered a lot of abuse but still managed to grow and flower even after coming close to death on several occasions.
