Paphiopedilum Lynleigh Koopowitz in Low Bud

Very pretty leaves, much nicer than on my LK. What's out of control about the growth on your other one?

    I feel like a thief :-)

Nice complex haul! I wish Glen came to the shows around here. Sorry about the disappointing Ten Shin order, hopefully you got vigorous ones with decent roots, though.

    micranthum in morning sun

Gorgeous micranthum! Love the petal markings and color intensity. Any thoughts of pollinating a later bloomer with this one?

    Miscellaneous stuff

Woah, nice viet! Doug has some great stuff.

    Je suis Charlie!

I don't speak for the admins/mods of this site, but it is an orchid forum and it's certainly conceivable, and conceivably prudent, that they'd rather keep their site out of this particular corner of the free expression debate. Which is well within their rights to do, as this forum was created...

    fairrieanum

    Beautiful!

    Joyce Hasegawa

Wow, great shape and color! Nicest JH I've seen.

    New Paph micranthum

    Very, very nice!

    Fairies

Wow, both spectacular! I'll be the contrarian and say I like the first one better b/c of its higher contrast in color/markings. If the dorsal flattens more on subsequent bloomings I think it'll handily outshine its sister.

    Sophronitis cernua

Gorgeous, Dot! This is one of my favorite species.
  11. gnathaniel

    Miscellaneous stuff

Thanks! Sounds like an interesting cross.

    Phrag. Rachel Kirk 'Sunshine'

    Beautiful!

    Thrixspermum acutilobum?

Awesome species and photos! Thrixspermum trichoglottis is the closest-looking one I've seen but this is a bewildering genus.

Phrag. besseae ('Peach Sherbert' x 'King of Peaches')

Gorgeous! Richer hues than some of the other 'peachy' ones I've seen.
  15. gnathaniel

    Dendrobium okinawense

Gorgeous plant! Another one for my wishlist. Here's an interesting paper about finding this taxon in Taiwan.
  16. gnathaniel

    Eriopsis biloba

Very cool species! Also new to me but definitely one I'll look for when I have a little more growing room. That bloom habit is just weird and wonderful... Interesting about the needly spike-things, too, sounds like maybe debris collectors like some Catasetinae develop?

    Magic Lantern and other blooms

Beautiful group of blooms! The spicerianum and fairreanum are really striking and great ML, too.
  18. gnathaniel

    Phragmipedium besseae ‘Carlisle’

    Wow, incredible flower!
  19. gnathaniel

    Phragmipedium Yelva Myhre

Very beautiful flower! Also wonderful to name it for your daughter.

Phrag. dalessandroi ('Echo' x 'Doug Pulley')

I have nothing to add on ID so I'll leave it to the experts, but gorgeous flower regardless! Fantastic color and I really love the highly prominent fenestration of the pouch. Please keep me in mind if you ever divide this, I'm sure I could come up with something interesting in trade.
