Is this worth driving two hours for AOS judging?

I remeasured the flowers. The largest one was about 8.5 cm. I thought it has a nice fuller form than most intermedia. I thought that most intermedia var. coerulea tends to have smaller flowers than the normal type? Anyway, I crossed it with my other intermedia var. coerulea with 9.5 cm more...

    Paphiopedilum tigrinum

I saw this cross years ago at RJ Rands Orchids. It was a cool looking flower. It had a white background with large blotches of dark purple the shape of the tigrinum blotches. Flower shape is an intermediate btw the two and it was shiny like tigrinum! I wish that I've bought that plant!:(

FYI The late Ray Rands (Paph. randsii) grew most of his specimen plants in the wooden baskets too. The rest of his plants were in the Rands' Air Cone pots that he invented. I think the weirdest thing I've seen in bloom was a paph. that he crossed (tigrinum x leucochilum). I am still regretting...

Is this worth driving two hours for AOS judging?

Conclusion: I think I am not going to drive two hours to get this judge. From all the advices that I've got i.e. the flower ns is too small. No C. intermedia var. coerulea with flowers under 8.3cm width has gotten any AOS award, and the number of flowers doesn't compare to several awarded...
