One more ID, one more mislabelled plant

In my opinion, if the flower is over 12cm NS it's a Cirila Alca. Under 12cm NS it's a Fritz Schomburg made with the besseae flavum. Did you buy a flask or a plant? I find plants from Peruflora takes around a year to bounce back and start growing properly after purchase. 4 years is not too bad...

    Cahaba Morning Mist

Thanks! :) I love it too! Wich ones? Georgette is really not a big plant and the Chou-Yi Wench, if you look at the previous growth, you can see that it was half the size when it first bloomed. The pinching can be very variable from one flower to the next generally speaking. For this cross, I...

    Cahaba Morning Mist

Hanne Popow x Lutz Rollke (both made with the flavum variation of besseae). Bought about two years ago from Orchids Limited and pretty glad it turned out this light in colour. with a couple of friends Phrag. Cahaba Morning Mist Paph. Chou-Yi Wench Phrag. Mem. Georgette...

    Paph. Chou-Yi Wench

It has it's flaws. The flower stem is too short and it doesn't allow the flower to open up fully (the segments are getting stuck on the leaves). Second bloom is not "better". But I loooooove it!!! It also kept it's light vanilla fragrance and the second time around, I find that it has more of a...

    Group shot!

Thanks :) The Les Platons has a very interesting colouring to it. A bit of white, pink and peach. I hope that the next bloom opens up fully. The stem is kinda crowded and I might cut everything around the next bud.

    Group shot!

A few plants in bloom in this beautiful begining of August. Enjoy! :) First blooming on my Peter Croezen. The flowers are way bigger than I thought they would be( NS 13cm). Bought it as a small seedling back in 2011.. It's pretty. First Blooming on Les Platons (Beauport x Hanne Popow)...

    Beaumont

Thanks guys! I really love it too. It's different from what I had so far (colour and shape). Yeah! Me too. Good thing that I don't intend on getting any new plants for now ... I need to make some space!!! Aargh.. Well at least I have a bulbo that I won't be keeping. So that will make a bit...

You need to be rigorous and generous with your cinnamon+alcohol applications (at least three days in a row) and a fresh bottle of rubbing alcohol works best.

Heat stress? Old media and need to be repot? Over watering due to Heat stress and the need to be repot? That is what I would be looking at before doing anything drastic. Especially if the plant was doing fine up until now. I grow schlimii, longifolium, besseae and fischeri and only the besseae...

    Sargent Eric

Thanks! :) Yeah I know :o .It's still a baby, I think. At least for now it's only making a single growth at a time so I can manage the space for now... It's one of those cross that the name says it all. Sargent Eric = sargentianum x Eric Young :p Yeah yeah I know, RHS writes Sergeant Eric.

    Sargent Eric

I can't believe that it's already been almost a year since the last time this plant bloomed. Is it me or time seems to go by faster as we get older? Anyway, still a summer bloom but the colours are more vibrant this time around. So, I thought it was worth sharing. ...I can't believe...
