These are outstanding! I'd love to be able to grow Draculas. What are your temps like in their growing area?

Those are some happy looking dracs!!
Kudos!

Does anyone know where the name Dracula came from for this genus? Ive always wondered.

It means "little dragon" and refers to the aspect of the sepals.

Pretty much Bill, but Masdevallias didn't get the Dracula monicer since they don't have that dark, furry, sinsister face (to go along with the tails).

The inverted mushroom like lip and open position of the polinia looks like a shnoz and eyes peering out of what is usually a dark furry coat.
