FINALLY!!!! I bloomed a trichophilia! I know someone will ask & others will wonder what a did, here goes-
mid Oct. we have a fall show, I meant to take it for the sales table but forgot or ran out of room. The next week I realized it so I told it it was going in April! There is a dried spike on it ..... wonder how long it was in bloom by the time I saw/found it? It had 2 spikes with 3 flowers.

This is one from Tenman, got it several years ago, Charles x ramonensis, doesn't appear to be registered. The change I made in culture was higher light, cooler temp for the winter, during the summer it was outside, next to the miltonias, in the open shade on the north side of my house

It took me a couple years before my suavis would bloom, but not it seems to bloom every year.

Pretty color on this one!

Funny mine is in bloom also. Same source. I took it to judging but all the photos of the parents have deep red blooms so it got passed. Mine had a little physical damage because I also forgot about it and found it blooming under some Paphs! :( I have a couple in the water trays with the Phrags and one of them bloomed but snail/slugs got to it.

Those 'deep red' blooms are an artifice of the cameras. All the flowers I have seen are a reddish pink but still not a true red. They always look redder and darker in the photos.

Tenman-
glad you chimed in! Has this cross been registered? There seems to be a little confusion, is ramonensis considered a seperate species? or a natural hybrid? I've tried putting it in both ways but nothing comes up on RHS.

I couldn't, either, and it's not in orchidspecies.com.
