Goodness, Deborah. You went all in! I am not shocked. Which of the three color selections do you use with the bulb?
I had tried to set up other scenarios with different lights, etc. over the last couple of years, and nothing worked satisfactorily. The LEDs in my grow room photograph stripes on the wall, not visible to the naked eye, but picked up by the iPhone camera so that didn't work. When I realized I could get the light/stand and backdrop stand reasonably (each were $40). I asked for this for Christmas. You could rig a stand for the backdrop, (but this way it has no waves or wrinkles), but the light difuser is something that I think makes a real difference. It's very bright so can be set back, It has a remote that changes the color temp if need be, but I use 5,000 k, and you can vary the intensity of the light, so you can play with it. My goal is true colors. Also, someone's tip about moving the object back away from the backdrop because that eliminates shadows works great. I thought I'd need two lights, but one light works because it's tall enough, I can sit on a stool in front of it, so it can be centered. My desire is to get great shots of my blooming plants so I can do one of those photo books with a page for each and a description/history (on the historic plants). Considering I'm pretty technologically challenged when it comes to computer stuff, it's intimidating, but I'm sure with patience...I can get it done at some point. This set up does not have to be moved except on rare occasion when I need some of the gardening stuff on the shelves behind the drape. I'm not sure it would stand up to set up/take down travel type of use, but for my needs, it works.
