The plant looks very happy and the flower is beautiful.

'Emily' is named for Emily Clarkson, one of the most giving and wonderful people to ever be involved in the orchid world. This magnificent flower is a fitting reminder as to how special she and her husband, Jim, were.

I don't deserve the credit for blooming this lovely. Thahn sent it to me in
bud and all I did was not blast it. I really love the flower and am looking
forward to the second bud. Camel, I should measure it, but haven't done
it so far. This is summer in our tree nursery and all I do is mow, mow,
mow...sleep...mow some more! This bloom doesn't seem so round as
some that have been posted here. I don't mind at all.

Thank you all so much, especially Gary. Also thank you Scott for enlightening me about
the clonal name 'Emily'. What a lovely tribute.
