Acmodontum : Beauty and the Beast

Here are two acmodontums in bloom currently ... one huge beast at 11 cm NS and the other petite beauty at 8 cm. Three more sisters on their way.

I have not seen two flowered spikes on this species but it is possible on these uniflowered mottled species. I have seen two flowers on a single spike on callosums, wardiis and venustums.

Thanks... hopefully the new ones can be as colourful as the first one and as large as the second one. One can always hope!
