Flowering times continue to confuse me as I learn to grow the catts in their new grow room. This plant ( a tipo clone called Brazil) last bloomed in early June last year.
It’s by far the tallest of the five purpuratas I grow. This growth is 69cm (27inches) tall and very stately.
It was repotted about a month ago as this new growth matured and new root nubs were visible. Normally I’d expect the flowers to appear at least a month to six weeks later than this. Maybe this early flowering is down to some sort of transplant shock.
Anyway the plant seems happy, the blooms are a good size and overall, all seems well.
