I saw this earlier this evening. I'm not really in the market for anitum, and that's way more money than I'm willing to sink into a plant. But it did catch my eye, even before I noticed the price.

I didn't realize there were legal/legit sources for anitum in the U.S. Last I read (probably on here) is that it was easy to skirt the restrictions by labeling plants as adductum v. anitum.

I've only purchased a parvi from that Ebay seller, but I did end up with a nice plant for a decent price. And his multifloral paph listings have been plentiful, and generally well received in terms of # of bids, so if I were looking for anitum, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase one from him.

Wow! I'll stop complaining about the slow speed of my babies. Must be a way to accelerate their growth? I'll revert once I have found out.....:D

They are hard to find. My deflasking of this failed miserably:rollhappy: They were too small when I deflasked it.

yep, market value.

mine is looking like it is budding!!! the plant is strong enough i would love to self it if i do end up getting a flower. i have heard germination is tough though.

Can you post photo of the leaves please?

Here's my mature anitum next to a pot of 10 month out of flask straight adductums.

It grows in fine bark/perlite/charcoal mixed with a high proportion of sphagnum moss. i've grown this plant for a long time. it likes to stay wet at all times with low light.

Justin, do you really think that the compot is straight adductum? I got a flask to and the leaves look mkre like anitum. They are that dark blue green. Just like your adult anitum.

is yours from chuck acker? when i ordered the flask i asked and he confirmed it was a selfing of one of his adductums he had gotten 20+ years ago, not anitum.

the anitum leaves are darker. one other main difference i can tell is the adductum leaves are clear green with very little "veining" whereas the anitum leaves are heavily veined. otherwise i can see why these are considered by some as color varieties of the same species.
