On November 16th, at the Ann Arbor Show, my AOS team awarded two Cattleyas. The first one is Rlc. Village Chief Cunning. According to records, it can be a very variable cross.
But this image shows you a very nice paler peachy yellow bloom.
This flower measured 14 x 15cm. and was one of those that caught my attention from across the exhibit floor. The flower form is really nice, flat and full. The flower color has a wonderful contrast between the sepals and petals and the lip.
The underlying color was the same as the rest of the flower but that rich, golden yellow center with that deeper pink area out towards the margins provided a gorgeous color combination. It was granted an AM of 81 points.
