It's pretty. I like this general line of breeding, B. cucullata makes for some interesting hybrids.

I have a Brassavola Little Yaki (Little Stars x cucullata), which is a very similar cross. It's in bloom right now as well. So it must be the season.

What I enjoy about Little Yaki is that it has a decidedly different fragrance from B. nodosa and B. Little Stars, even if it's not quite as strong. It reminds me of limes, and is more on the refreshing citrusy side of things. I honestly wasn't expecting that since most Brassavolas I've experienced tend to smell very similar to nodosa.

Have you had a chance to sniff the flower(s) in the evening or at night? What's the scent like?

I have two clones of yaki. This one doesn't have any scent that I've detected in the 2 bloom cycles I've had it. The other is closer to what you described. It's not overly strong and not quite nodosa-esque, maybe a touch citrusy but it's been a bit since it bloomed.
