Here is my compot of Phrag kovachii. They came out of flask in July and I lost a few but these ones seem pretty happy and vigorous. I have one larger plant that I have had for a couple years but it doesn't seem as perky as these wee guys...although it is in good health.

damn. You are doing a good job! I might agree with you if you say the first batch was less perky, because your compot has huge seedlings. My seedling probably is not as fast, from the first offering of laura x ana

My cats would find them good enough to eat... Fortunately, they don't have access to my greenhouse where the phrags live. You're doing real good Wendy.

How long it going to take before it reach flower size?? It's going to be the 'rothschildianum' of Phrag??? lol
The picture i saw of the plant in flower are massive. Yike!!

I wouldn't call them the rothchildianum of phrags.......but they are slow from flask. It takes them a couple of years to get decent size (20" across or so).
They aren't anywhere near as large as longifolium, they break into multiple growths pretty easily with short rhizomes, and grow much quicker in cooler temperatures. My plants are about a year or so away from blooming, at least for the larger ones and they seem easier than besseae to grow from flask.

They look good. Patience is a virtue ----that's why I get blooming size plants when I can afford them.
