Has anyone read about this? I used to be in harness racehorses and know some of those involved. Roger Mayotte is in fact a good friend....I was stabled beside him at Mohawk for years. There are a few links in the article that connect to other well written articles too....

I was involved in a huge barnfire at Mohawk raceway in 1992. There were 69 horses lost in that one. Our entire stable of around 20 horses perished. I was devastated for a long time and this fire brings back memories. I've offered to make myself available if anyone needs to talk about it but both the fire fighters and racing association are having grief counsellors in for anyone who might need it. (after the '92 fire we got no help so I don't want these people to have to go through it alone)
