Bellatulum

curious to see what people's opinions on who is doing the best bellatulum breeding (saturation of color, roundness, size)...seems Sam has a really heavy focus on it

I guess that if the Thai-Breeders had paid as much focus on bellatulum as they've been line-breeding leucochillum over recent years, we'd be a whole mile further down the road already.

I think the reason why the Thais are not focusing on breeding bellatulum is because most Thai breeders are in the central plain of Thailand, ie Bangkok. Paph. bellatulums grow in the northern mountainous region where night temperatures are much lower than in central plain of Thailand. In other words, most bellatulum do not thrive in Bangkok so there are not that much demand for them.
