Whomever said besseae 'Peach Cobbler' x 'Colossal Peach'
is just like 'Balance' x 'Curves' is right. The Peach is a smaller bloom on a smaller
plant, but is a twin to Balance. Both are pretty, but I'm
a bit disappointed. I hoped for something different. Now
I have four plants with the same bloom...damn!

that's one reason i got some ecuagenera bessae. not going to win any awards but a little.different from the line breeding (not that there is anything wrong with a big round line-bred bess)

You are very right

No sir, that was in Louisville north of us. We got a little
rain and some rather spectacular thunder though. The
whole sound show was quite thrilling for the dogs who love
running amok to bark at thunder.

It's interesting to hear about dogs that love to bark at thunder. When I was a child, I had a dog that was scared to death of thunder. Every time a thunder clap sounded, he'd run from one end of the farm to the other. Boom: House to barn; boom: barn to house -- etc. Poor thing. I'd try to hold him and calm him, but he'd break away and run.

Ours when I was a kid would hide under the bed or in a closet; all you'd see were two gleaming shaking eyes in the darkness

Unfortunately a sweet border collie that I'd fostered long term was terrified of thunder. I heard later that at her new home there'd been a bad storm and a door was open and she ran out and was hit by a car

It's strange that I've have mostly large breed dogs and many of them freaked about thunder. Now that I have
small breed dogs, I've noticed they're not frightened of
such things. They even bark at jets that I can hardly hear.
The Tzu Two are scared of nothing...ever. Sally Barnes and
Sophie sleep through everything.
