Nice species. Thanks for posting.

lovely.
Is it related to Maxillarias?

Nice, moved to Maxillaria.

Brasiliorchis was segregated from Maxillaria by some authors beginning in 2007 I think. Along with species split off into Maxillariella, Camaridium and other segregates the changes are not accepted by Kew, but largely are accepted by other authorities - The Plant List, for instance - which is based on acceptance of a variety of sources, among which Kew is just one. Flip a coin.

Kirk is right, Singer et al (2007) showed the data supporting the split (I think the link to the original paper in the blog post is accessible to everyone). About 13 species, including M. picta, M. schunkeana, M. marginata, are moved to Brasilliorchis.

Tyrone, I was keeping it cooler end of intermediate (min/max of 65/80F in summer, 55/70F in winter), but now I'm keeping it a little warmer (70/85F). The switch is recent, so I'm not sure, but I don't think that it is too picky. In nature, I think they are experiencing 66/84F in summer and 55/77F in winter (climate of Domingos Martins, Espírito Santo, Brazil). I forgot to record the potting media, but it looks like mostly Med. bark with some sphag (20% or so). I don't keep it particularly wet (less wet than most Paphs).

Ok.
This one reminds me of a maxilaria ( forgot the name) with yellow flowers and supposedly smell like watermelon.
