So I have not bloomed many paphs since I contracted the obsession only about a year ago. On the few plants that have bloomed, I have cut the stalk about an inch from the leaves and all was well afterwards. However, after I cut the stalk on this henryanum the sheath has started turning brown. Is this a Physan20 situation or can I just leave it to dry up and fall off? Rather unsightly IMO. Henryanum on left and Lynleigh Koopowitz on the right for comparison. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

I would just hold the base of the growth and pull out the dead sheaf if you want to remove it. Otherwise it should dry up and not cause any problems

Thought it does look orange-y enough maybe some water got in there. Won’t hurt to take it out
