I was looking in the GH today and realized I missed a few more buds. Paph druryi, 2 plants of curtisii, philippinense, the last leaf on my praestans has color on it(!), one moquettianum and 2 niveums. The Phrag fischeri I just bought is spiking, another E Young X Sorcerer's A is also spiking and to finish off a Phrag Nitidissimum just opened up. I guess it is a bumper crop this spring

Could you please explain this a bit more? maybe it could help to educate my rather unexperienced view on paph growths:) ! One of my paph providers told me that when the mid-leaf of the growth is getting some dark 'design?' there are a lot of chances a new spike is emerging!? You call maybe the same event 'color on it' ! Perhaps that a pic would help?! Jean

Jean your impression of what the last leaf with color means is the same as mine "spike to follow". Of course, that is more important with solid green leafed Paphs then ...say vinis! I will post a pic later

I can't stand it! The only thing I like almost as much as blooms on my chids, are blooms on other peoples' chids!! I can't wait to see the blooms! :D

This is for Jean. Last leaf of P. praestans.
