Just about what I expected. Another fantastically grown plant!!
Normally images do not correctly display the true beauty and color of the blooms. That is not the case here!!! Just gorgeous. 👍🥰
 
Istvan, I have always stayed away from this species because of its height. Will you please measure from the bench to the top of the flowers for me so I can be reassured that it is too tall for my conditions!
 
Want to toss in a comment about height: don’t these species grow hanging down in nature? Why don’t we do that?

" Cattleya bowringiana is a remarkably adaptable plant. It can be found thriving as a lithophyte in rocky ravines, with the plants matted to the bare rocks in full sun. It is found growing as a terrestrial on quartz sand along rapidly flowing streams, and, as a typical epiphyte, on large tropical trees. Plants grow at altitudes from a few hundred feet above sea level to as high as 3,500 feet. "
As I mean well plants don t hang downwards in habitat.
