Cattleya gaskelliana season begins

Cattleya gaskelliana concolor x semi alba opening up today. Got a heap of them from Sam over the winter and they’re all about to open up. Second photo is a sibling that opened up, though the flower has some imperfections (it got REALLY hot here last week). I like the color on these so far - what do you guys think?

Really beautiful species. I saw an article in National Geographic with a huge gaskelliana stuck to a huge branch with probably 50-60 psedobulb and lots of flowers. It was a sight to behold. Not as night form as your flower.
