I bought this plant as a half matured one in August 2021 and now I can see the first flower. I think the tag says the truth. I didn't expect a flower because the bulb grew and matured without any shead ... but then to my surprise emerged a bud at the top of the bulb.

I thought labiata usually has a double sheath? I’ve definitely had some hybrids send up flowers without the sheath, I guess species are guilty of that too sometimes!
