Cattleya labiata tipo ‘Baby Goliath’

A baby version of the ‘Goliath’ cultivar which was large (17 cm?). This particular flower has incredible shape with petals touching on top. The two petals form a tear drop at the center too.

My plant blooming in Brazil. NS 15 cm.

Leslie, it must be polyploid? The substance looks heavy and the size and configuration are very different from a standard diploid. Is there a breeding history with ‘Goliath’?

Its very pretty - there is something appealing about species refined to the point they have the positive qualities of the best hybrids, yet retain their uniqueness and natural qualities.

They are fostered at my Brazilian buddy’s GH until I’m ready to ship them here.

Also, I try to keep backups there too. So I would take the front division and leave the back bulbs there for safekeeping.
