This is a first time bloomer from Tropical Orchid Farm. Although it is not the coveted aurea form, I love the fuchsia around the column wings.

The buds are inside the leaf. they open as soon as the leaf on the new growth splits open.

I am growing these under lights in intermediate conditions. I water twice a week but could water 3x a week to make them happier. Mine are mounted on a piece of bark, and that bark is inside a clay pot. I have two and they are both doing well enough but I could improve my culture, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
