Here are three specimens of this group. In the group shot, (names given as lebelled), left we have C.harrisoniana 'Orchid Court', center C.loddigesii 'Carina' AM/AOS, and right C.harrisoniana 'Streeter's Choice' FCC/AOS x self, group shot followed by individual close-ups in the same order.

Lastly, there is a close-up comparison of the two labeled C.harrisoniana.

If it is true as someone suggested that you are planning on doing DNA research in this group, Brian, let me know if you would like any samples from these plants.

Very nice. The Aranda blooming in mid-summer is very interesting. I have had loddigesii blooming as late as April, but never now. I have also had harrisoniana that bloom in winter.

Streeter's Choice is a hybrid, that originated in a batch of mericlones of another hybrid. I can't remember the name of the original clone, but will consult my notes. The original plant was considered a hybrid by all who knew it, as well. Even Mr. Streeter says that it is not pure harrisoniana

And as soon as I contact those who know how to process tissue samples for DNA analysis, I will want samples!

I have a selfing of Streeter's Choice also. It's gonna bloom in a few weeks as it's not quite ready to break through the sheath. I recall it having very good shape. I'll post photos of it once it blooms. Love this thread, by the way.

Very interesting comparisons!!! Streeter's Choice can be found in the web as a catt lodd. as well as catt harr. clonal name !!! Jean
