Complex Paph

Below is a plant that originally came from the collection of one of our own member Aquacorps. It arrived as a previously bloomed plant with another growth in bud and two starts. When it first opened the bloomed seemed green so I waited to take a photo. Below is the first photo that Donna took. This is from the breeding of The Orchid Zone and the cross is Paph. (Gege-Hughes 'Harvest Moon' x Elfstone 'Gargantua') The leaf span on the blooming growth is 22 inches and the natural spread on the flower is 11 c.m.

The next photo is of the same plant weeks later. I'm sorry to have to say that the dorsal sepal reflexed.

Well Bob, thats the joy of complex Paphs. Its one I would consider disposable to be replaced with another.
