Cyp acule (Arrowhead Alpines)

There was someone who asked about buying Cyp acule. The usual vendors didn't seem to have it (Great Lakes Orchids has it listed but out of stock). I just got an email that Arrowhead Alpines has it (and $24, which is quite cheap).

(No, I don't plan on buying it; I think it's too hot where I am, and I don't have the right acidic soil conditions).

They are offered on ebay all the time in season. (for less) In nature they grow on rock surfaces. I don't think they handle transplant well.

Here in Michigan in the central part of the lower peninsula they grow in sandy, acidic soil. A few years back in one of our state parks I stopped counting at 130 without leaving the trail.

If you have clay limestone soil around you they will be rare
