Very gratifying plant! I have them in a mix of peat moss and perlite and the pot sitting in an inch of clear water all the time. Abundant watering most of the time. They loved being in cold room by the opened window this past winter.
This one is a hybrid registered and sold by La Canopée (France)

Hi John, 2/3 peat moss 1/3 perlite as recommenced by La Canopee producer.
I use my tap water most of the time, because it is fantastic quality here in Vancouver, you could bottle it yourself and sell it as spring water
I now have rain barrels I can use. I gave them fertilizer very irregularly like the rest of my orchids, essentially some K-lite and some Seaweed liquid fertilizer.
They were outside most of the year (unless freezing temps) with sun up to mid day.
