Dot, I have kept this outside all winter the last 2 years and it is better for it. Down to 7 or 5C every winter night. Sometimes down to freezing does not bother it but it must be dry. I just dribble water when it is bone dry to stop it from shrivelling. Bright light during the winter days is good.

They still grow and flower with 15C nights but I don't think it is as good as the more extreme temps. If it's too cold in winter there, maybe you could hang it outside out of the rain for a month in spring when the temps are above freezing?

Summer water every day mostly.

Thanks, Mike. I see I was pampering mine -- killing it with kindness! I will try one again when I can find one, now that I understand it better. Winters are definitely too severe here, but I can try that cold treatment in the Fall or Spring.
