Bought this plant almost two years ago from Peruflora. I wanted to see if
the extra bucks for their double size plant was worth it. Even though it took
a long time for this plant to get over not being in Peru anymore seeing all the
spikes on this plant (around 6) I think it was really worth it.
First flower is a bit wonky, but I was too excited to share. :)

The photos are fine, though the one that has zoomed in the closest to the bloom seems to have the bloom slightly out of focus.

Great plant, well worth it in my view!

Thanks guys.

New camera and I seem to have some difficulties zooming properly (resizing, also) I'll eventually get there. :) I took so many pictures to get those and I got bored..lol

Excellent. What media and additives are you using?

Thanks Eric. It took a bit more than a year before this plant started doing anything and at some point I thought about getting rid of it. I don't grow salad.
But the plant looked so nice that I decided to keep it a bit longer. Glad I did!
It's grown in a mix of rockwool cubes and diatomite (1:1). Two years ago I bought a big bag of diatomite and went crazy with it..Most of my plants has some in their mix. Paph included..and cattleyas, masdies, lycastes... lol
But I think that I have a lot of blooms this year because I lowered the fertilising regime (from 100ppm to half) and added a hour to the light schedule. Or it might only be because my plants are older now. :)

How big is the pot? Trying to have some perspective on plant size.
Mine ( also from the same vendor) was very small, over 10 growths in 3.5 pot, and flowering.
