I've been driving by a few spots on my way home from work and decided to get some pics. Some spots are very drab and others have lots of color. Being this far south in farm country there's even winter wheat sprouts coming up but with big trucks going by didn't get to stop

Lots of my favorite colors. Fine shots Charles.
Great job cloning out all the houses.

Call me on weekend or after work, let me know when you are off.
Cheers!

Thanks. Actually I took with phone and just cropped (big empty field near Bridgeton) Most of the purple-reds are nearer red but the cast slider was maxed out. Was pretty dark and cloudy yesterday after work. I have the next two weekends off then work the following weekend

Thank you very much for these!
Great capture of the season!!!
I especially love the red leaves, and the picture of dry corn stalks along the road reminds me of my childhood.

Nice. Everyone is telling me how wonderful the fall colors are this year in the northeast. The Euonymus is stunning in the fall, but another nasty invasive in the eastern forests. Nice to see a sassafras coloring up like that - makes me homesick.

Aren't you spoiled in Japan?
It should be even prettier there. ;)

I'm skipping this year, but I'm definitely going for a long drive next fall.

It can be very pretty, but to quote Dorothy, "there's no place like home". Also, it has been ridiculously warm here this fall, so as yet no good colors. I was up north near Kyoto a couple weeks ago, and even there the trees were just starting to change. Not a normal year here. Anyway, the best colors are further north the Tohoku region of Honshu and southern Hokkaido.

I saw yesterday that the green field I thought was winter wheat, was actually spinach! When heading to work I saw a crew on top of a big box truck being filled with spinach leaves. There were four guys in tall boots standing on top of the spinach and forking it away from the lifter tube coming from the harvester. Was slightly unsettling to see humans on top of a fresh leafy crop, in boots that could've been walking over the ground.....
Good idea getting a cold hardy crop in before the real hard frosts set in (maybe no winter this year who knows

There are some red and other maples slightly closer to Delaware bay, euonymus and oaks still hanging onto some leaves. Poke berries right in my front yard zipped by frost but have lots of berries on them plus lots of other berries on bushes around the area. One bush type with berries can't remember name is same as what I'd posted this time last year in north jersey near my old apt. A number of fields around have different ages of spinach in them. Was 68 here yesterday when I headed up to my sisters in northeast jersey. Wasn't too bad today, excellent considering it's almost December?!
Coastal plain here so can get warmer than more northern and western areas

:) right now the white is the sand under the grass

Though yesterday at Clark's the grass is pretty lush and green

Though I think coming back from a delivery last week I think I saw white trumpeter swans in a pond nearish the Delaware memorial bridge; too big for snow geese though my eyes could be bad and they were mute swans, but I don't think they group together
