Fumi's delight

It's so pretty! I really like Paphiopedilum Fumi's Delight. Great mix of the 2 parent species, micranthum and armeniacum and seems to be a little easier to grow and bloom for the average hobbyist. Do you recall where you got this one from?

Thanks! I think I got this one from Orchid Garden in Poland as a little seedling about 2.5 years ago. It has been pretty easy and trouble free.

the sharp divide between pale yellow vs rich, waxy yellow in the petals is really cool!

various Parvi seedlings come up the webshops in the EU from time to time at very reasonable prices, they don't last long though. I'm building up a little collection; malipoense is also in bud now.

Have the same one without flowering with big roots. Could you share, pls, your culture

For me a temperature drop and reduced day length seem to do the trick. Temperature drop is in this case nothing extreme, down to 16 degC nights and 22 degC day temp was sufficient to trigger blooming in this one and also malipoense.
