In bloom again in almost exactly one year from the last bloom.
It had rather a slow start last time, but this time, the plant already has a decent sized new growth going, so I might see this bloom again in less than a year.

5in from petal to petal.

I like it a lot. Large and well balanced. I like this big round dorsal with shorter petals. It's been hard to find ones with such shape without deformity.

This one does have rather bumpy surface on the petals.

Nice form and color. Bumps give substance.

Sorry, my bad English.
By bumps, I meant the uneven surface, not those warts.

The picture may not show well, but the petals are quite crazy when looked at from the side.
Other than that, I love this flower!

The plant has this odd markings ( not shown in these photos, but there are clear white web-like markings inside the leaves, which worries me...virus? I plan on testing.)
on the leaves which worries me, but growing and blooming fine. It already has a new fan well on its way.

viruses are extremely uncommon in paphs as most are grown from seed; probably like this one.

I've heard that before, but not sure about extremely part.
I've also heard Paphs are immune to virus from a vendor! What a total ********!

Anyway, when I see certain marks that doesn't look like bacterial or fungal origin, my mind starts to worry. lol

Back to Paphs and low virus rate, it may not be all that true just because they come from seeds.

Are virus killed off in case the seeds come from contaminated pods?
Careless handling of seedlings, from taking them out of flasks to repotting allow ample opportunity for virus to infect the plants via root or leaf wounds.
Some people don't even practice basic sanitary procedure.
Bare hands that might have touched other infected plants before handling and such.

I've also been to a nursery where hundreds of seedlings were being rained on by Cattleyas hanging over them.
I doubt all those Cattleyas were tested or all free of virus.
Yeah, never again from that nursery.
