I've been growing orchids since 1972, buying back then from Kensington Orchids, then mail order as well, importing from various countries; the first orchid that got my attention was a large population of Cypripedium acaule in western Maryland in June 1972. By September I had a few Cattleyas and some species Paphs. I grow in a greenhouse somewhat south of Atlanta, lots of genera but including bunches of Paphs and Phrags.

Welcome! Coincidentally enough, I'm headed down to Hampton, GA this coming weekend. I've been to Griffin a number of times. Small world.

Are there any orchid vendors in your area that you like to visit? It almost certainly won't happen, but I am still mulling over the possibility of taking a small detour on my trip down (or back) for a quick visit to Carter and Holmes. Wish I had the time, since it's been several years since I was last able to go there.

Welcome from southern Delaware! The Cyp. acaule is wild/native here also.... it is nice to see them every spring in my woods and once in a while, a white one may show up too.
