We had very few snow until now, but the low temperatures of these last weeks prevented it from fading!
This morning I started at 08:30 with temp. = -10 Celsius; fortunately no wind so the walk was rather comfortable :) !

Here some pics:

somwhat slippery way!!

Home again soon: this street is leading to our house and I am cold enough now !! Jean

Very nice, I like picture 2. In Munich we have more snow, last night temperature went down to -15°C in the city, outside more.
Best regards, Gina

My, that sure looks like Michigan!

That's how cold it was here yesterday morning. It was so cold it froze the lock to my greenhouse. Thank goodness for de-icer -- I couldn't get matches to stay lit to warm the key.

Jean, The pic with all the trees in the background, are those "clumps" squirrel nests?

Rick, there you have got me :) !!! I pass by regularly but never went there close enough to check out!!! I'll have to do next time :) !! Jean

Nevertheless I suppose that it is mistletoe !

Nice pictures Jean, for some reason they make me think back to the various movies I saw and books I read about the Battle for the Bulge and fight that took place in the Hurtgen forrest during WW2.

I had the same experience when I visisted the Bastogne area two years ago.

For some reason I have the idea that in the Ardennes the enviroment didn't change much since WW2.

My weight will never be an issue but I compete in sport that requires very fast sprinting! :(

I understand that you are actually a very active sportsman, and then, of course you are quite handicapped by your broken toe!!!

But this statement I highlighted, this reflection looks very similar as some that I was used to some 30 years ago :):) !!! Jean

I can't comment on that, because I was born some years after ww2 Marc!

The place where I live is to the south-east of the region called 'Les Ardennes', covering part of Belgium, Germany(?) and north of Luxembourg, with their hills, firs and spruces, and good ham :)!! , meaning it is a lot flatter here!

Thanks for the info Jean, I wasn't quite aware were you lived within the country Luxembourg.

During my last visit in Belgium we stayed in the small town of Robertville. Ever been there?

Not yet, it looks like a lovely site !!! Sort of lake nearby!? I know the towns around, such as Monschau in Germany, Verviers in Belgium and of course Aachen!
(Elsenborn and surroundings, close to Robertville, used to be the site for maneuver of the lux. army in past times:); I was fortunately one of the first to profit from the abolition of obligatory military service)

I visisted Monschau last year when I stayed for a short week in the Eifel area. Very nice town but unfortunately a lot of wasps flying around that day.

There is an artificial lake close to Robertville. We actually did a very nice and interesting walk in the valley downstream of the dam.
