Kanuma for slippers, anyone?

So, kanuma is ligh, pumice like material from Japan, ph 5.5, yellow colored, when watering dark- yellowish. I used it for my satszuki azalea bonsai.
When I saw for the first time Paphs roots ( like tree) I was thinking to use kanuma for media, a little bit fine bark 20% and charcoal.
l’m wondering if someone has experience with this media?

I am using lava rock and so far so very good. Kanuma would be worth a try.
