It is my impression from reading the posts that K-lite works best for 'miffy' species. I have not used it.
Remember that hybrid phrags are the nearest thing that orchids get to weeds.
They can grow very quickly and make a huge amount of leaf growth compared to many others.
Maybe under these conditions they don't want or need low K.
My plants all share the same tray which is always about an inch deep in water.
I use hydroleca pellets to raise up the smaller pots so they are not sitting in deep water.
The larger pots sit on the bottom of the tray.
Roots are growing out of several of the pots into the water, some are several inches long, so they must be happy.
I probably water the pots once a week and drain the whole tray about once a month when I also flush through with rain water.
Temperatures are not high - 10-18 degrees mostly. There is no-one in the house during the day, but the phrags do not seem to mind.
