Annual blossom for this nice hybrid, dark velvety violet, very hard to render properly on my DSLR! but this is a close to reality as I can get.

In pure Orchiata, double pot, the plant and bark in plastic pot, the plastic pot inside an unsealed clay pot with saucer. I water from the top of the bark until the clay saucer is filled with water, they I wait for next watering until saucer is dry.
That way the bark is always very moist but the clay evaporated a lot.
I keep my plants outdoors from spring to fall (Pacific Northwest climate is great for Masdies !)
