After their second full season on the new growth room, this species is really starting to move and grow well. The plants all make at least two growths per season although just the winter growth tends to flower.
First up we have the alba clone ‘mirjam’, from Hilmar. It’s flowering for the first time in three years and probably still has some growing to so to reach full size. Next is the ‘almost concolor’ clone ‘Luz de luna’. It’s not blooming quite as well as last year. Finally there is the coerulea clone ‘mariauxi’ which is now starting to show the grey veining (venosa) characteristic of this clone, as the flower ages.

Very pretty indeed! Thank you so much for showing them.
Do you really like the one with 'gray veins'? You see, I just do not know about that, I really do not. I would need some time to adjust to that. I right away thought that if the flower was past its prime and losing substance, I never realized that there was a clone like that. However, regardless, any species is treasured in my book. Fabulous growing!!! 👍 :p

Thanks! I was surprised to see this trait when it first happened but it’s not uncommon in the coerulea forms of this species. I’ve seen it in a coerulea jenmanii as well. I quite like it. It will continue to develop and strengthen for the next couple of weeks.
