This one is a larger plant, has some nice colour despite the shape not being optimal. I must admit this one has suffered over winter and I'm not sure why, the foliage is looking very poor compared to my other Massies. Anyway it has two other flowers but I thought this was the pick.

Lovely flower!!!! Does it need a lot of humidity??? If yes, how do you manage? Spray it??? Thanks

It doesn't get as much humidity as it should be I do mist on dry days. Today is going to be warm as we are heading into early Spring so I will mist it this morning.

I grow outside all year round - 50% green shade cloth in winter and two layers in summer. I am changing the potting medium on this one back to sphagnum when I repot it in the next week or two.

Thanks for the info! Where do you live by the way! What are the temp ranges that they are facing, during the year??? Thank you in advance!

I live in southern Australia.

They get temps between 0C and 16C in winter.

They get temps between 15C and 43C in summer.........however! Usually when I remember I bring the Masdevallias inside my home if the temp hits 32C.

The other seasons have temps in between the above extremes.
